Add Custom Text to a Customer Notification or Newsletter

Overview

While keeping your Communication Profiles and Newsletters organization-neutral will keep your work simple and streamlined, sometimes you may want to personalize things a bit. In this article, we'll review how to utilize the option to add custom text to any Communication Profile or newsletter for a specific job.

Please note that this feature can be utilized for newsletters in specific jobs, not general newsletters created via the Customers page. For more information on different types of newsletters, click here.

Instructions

  1. On the Main Settings Page of your Photo Job, click on Advanced Job Settings under the Actions dropdown:
  2. On the following page, scroll down to the section titled Custom communication profile text:
  3. Enter your custom text and scroll down to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
  4. Within the Communication Profile message or newsletter, add the "Custom communication profile text" placeholder into your message:
If you do not see the placeholder, scroll down to the bottom of the text box; it may have been added to the end of the message. Feel free to cut and paste the placeholder wherever you would like to position it within the message.
Since this is a placeholder, you will not see the custom text in the preview, but it will appear in the message that is sent.

If you have not added custom text to a job, messages containing the custom text placeholder will be sent without  any additional text.

The Takeaway

Personalize your standard messages by adding custom job-specific text. Tailor your messages directly on the Main Settings Page of your Photo Job, providing a unique touch to enhance communication with your customers.
